LOS ANGELES, JUNE 23, 2005 – The “Sounds of the Sacred, Songs of the Earth, - A Topanga Celebration & Festival for World Peace” will be held on Sunday, September 18 at the Topanga Community House and Sacred Chumash Grounds from Noon to 10:00 PM. The outdoor all-day festival promoting World Peace will feature an array of cross-cultural activities and participatory performances in music, dance and theatre led by visionary artists and practitioners of ancient healing arts. The event’s ethnic food and World Lifestyle booths will further enhance the festival atmosphere. The event culminates with a spectacular concert of performances presenting the diverse traditions of sacred music from around the world. The concert begins at 5:30 PM.

• Maria Bodeman’s Balinese Shadow Theatre “Bali & Beyond”
• Kabbalah Bach’s Tibetan Singing Bowls (“Gaia Mama”)

• Tibetan 'Terton', 76 year old Kunzang Rinpoche with The Monks & Nuns of Zangdokpalri
• Sufi ‘Ney’ Master, Omar Faruk Tekbilek & his Ensemble
• Middle Eastern World Music of the Hani Naser Band with Walfredo Reyes Jr., Armand Sabal-Lecco and Craig Eastman
• Spanish Flamenco pianist Pedro Ricardo Miño
• Founding member of the Doors, John Densmore with his band TribalJazz
• The evenings ensemble with special guest artists will perform a World Première ‘tour de force’ composed for this night by Richard Horowitz.
